Ogunwuyi’s Resignation: Don’t Blame Makinde For Being A Humanist, His Generosity Is His Strength – Dare Adeleke
… Says History Will Vindicate GSM, Declares Support Beyond 2027
A chieftain of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), in Oyo State, Hon. Dare Adeleke, has said Governor Seyi Makinde should not be blamed for being a humanist with a kind heart, insisting that his generosity is his strength and not his weakness.
Adeleke, who is the Special Adviser to the Governor on Federal Constituency, stated this in a statement made available to Mouthpiece NGR on Monday, in reaction to the resignation of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi.
Mouthpiece NGR understands that Ogunwuyi, who was among aspirants for the governorship seat, tendered his resignation months after he was said to have been overlooked for the governorship ticket, which was secured by Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, who is known to be his close friend from Higher institution.
Reacting, Adeleke said despite all the empathy and goodwill Makinde showed to those who have left him, they still chose to leave.
He said: “Despite all the empathy and goodwill he showed to them, they still chose to leave. We must not blame Governor Seyi Makinde for being a humanist with a kind heart. His generosity is his strength, not his weakness.
“He brought in people who did not even contribute to his emergence as governor, yet he gave them platform, relevance and limelight. For this, we must appreciate him.
“Those who left him and now speak ill of him are being unfair to a gentleman who made them. They should examine their conscience.
“Let us remember: Daniel Bwala, Reno Omokri and host of others once worked against and even disparaged President Bola Tinubu, yet he in his magnanimity brought them into his government. That is what great leaders do.”
Adeleke added that supporters of the governor would continue to stand firmly with him, while advising those close to Makinde to remain humble and allow the people to enjoy the dividends of the administration.
“We shall stand firmly with Governor Seyi Makinde. We also advise those close to him to behave themselves, be humble, and allow the people to enjoy the dividends of this government.
“GSM is a good man. History will vindicate him. GSM Beyond 2027!” he declared.
