As Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary on October 1, 2026, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Engr. Toheeb Adegoke ADLAT, has felicitated Nigerians, describing the anniversary as an opportunity to reflect on the nation’s journey and citizens’ responsibility in shaping its future.
In his Independence Day message, Adegoke said Nigeria’s strength remains rooted in its people, diversity and resilience, stressing the need for unity and collective responsibility in building a stronger nation.
The APM candidate emphasized the importance of Nigerians continuing to contribute to the development of their communities while working towards a future with greater opportunities for young people and citizens across the country.
Adegoke, who secured the APM ticket for the Akinyele/Lagelu seat ahead of the 2027 general elections, has in recent months sustained engagements with communities, stakeholders and party structures across the constituency. His engagements have included meetings with ward stakeholders and party leaders, with discussions centred on unity, grassroots participation and development of Akinyele and Lagelu.
He called for renewed commitment to unity, service, resilience and national development as Nigerians celebrate 66 years of independence.
Adegoke wished Nigerians at home and in the diaspora a peaceful Independence Day celebration, expressing hope that the country will continue to move towards a future defined by greater opportunity, inclusion and progress.
