Oyo 2027: APM Guber Candidate, Adekanmbi Takes Consultation To Olorunsogo, Irepo LGAs

The Oyo State Allied People’s Movement (APM) governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, paid a consultative visit to Olorunsogo and Irepo Local Government Areas on Tuesday, September 23, 2026.

The visit is in line with his decision to continually engage with the people of Oyo State ahead of full-fledged campaigns, to understand the challenges, needs and expectations of various communities for the Omituntun 3.0 administration.

In Igbeti, Hon. Adekanmbi arrived at the palace of the Onigbeti of Igbeti Land, HRM Oba (Engr.) Bashir Olalekan Abioye, Siyanbola IV, to a rousing reception by residents, where he engaged with the monarch, traders, artisans, PMS members and other stakeholders.

Key issues raised include reconstruction of the Iseyin to Igbeti road, construction and repair of inner town roads, upgrade of the Igbeti General Hospital to a State Hospital, formulation of state policies to ensure mineral resources from Igbeti benefit the community, job opportunities for youths and greater representation in state governance, among others.

At the palace of the Iba of Kishi Land, HRM Oba M.O. Lawal Arowoduye II (JP), Hon. Adekanmbi was warmly received and offered prayers.

Traders, artisans, PMS members and other stakeholders in Kishi listed empowerment programmes, employment for their educated children, a vocational centre for artisans to boost expertise, special seminars to promote local crafts and improved road networks as priorities for the next administration in 2027.

Hon. Adekanmbi also interfaced with APM party leaders, stakeholders and members in both LGAs, appreciating them for their commitment to propagating the party and urging them not to relent in canvassing and mobilising support for all APM candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He assured them of people-centred governance, with focus on the feedback received during the engagements, to ensure their communities and Oyo State continue to move forward in the right direction.
