Ona-Ara LG Chairman, Dr Temitope Kolapo Glorious Holds Strategic Security Meeting

MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that the Motor Traffic Division (MTD) post at Thywill Junction has commenced operations following a security concern previously raised during the Peace and Security meeting in Ona-Ara Local Government, which has now received concrete attention.

The issue was among the concerns discussed at an earlier Peace and Security meeting in May, where attention was drawn to the need for a functional MTD post at the busy Thywill Junction, alongside the challenges surrounding the existing facility and the need for renovation.

Following the discussions, necessary steps were taken to address the concerns, with the MTD now operational at Thywill Junction to support effective traffic management and contribute to peace and security within the area.

The development has been welcomed by stakeholders, who commended the Executive Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government, Dr. Kolapo Temitope Glorious (JP), for his dedication and passion towards matters concerning peace, security and effective traffic management across the local government.

The Chairman of the Community Development Council (CDC), Ambassador Adebayo, commended Dr. Glorious for working diligently to ensure that concerns raised by stakeholders are not left unattended.

Speaking on the new development, Dr. Glorious emphasised that the steps being taken are in accordance with the vision and directives of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, regarding security across every nook and cranny of the state.

The Chairman further disclosed that the MTD post at Thywill Junction will soon be converted into a substantial Police Post, further strengthening security and safety around the area.

The commencement of MTD operations at Thywill Junction therefore marks another step towards improving traffic management, maintaining order and strengthening security within Ona-Ara.

The next move will be improvement at Amuloko Junction.

From concerns raised at the Peace and Security meeting to action on the ground, the work continues.
