“₦400m Is Just ₦400 To Us” – Ochacho Says As He Gifts Peller And Jarvis ₦400m House
Businessman and philanthropist King Ochacho has explained why he described ₦400 million as “small money” after announcing the amount as a wedding gift for popular TikTokers, Peller and Jarvis.
During the couple’s wedding, Ochacho publicly declared that he was gifting them a house worth ₦400 million. The announcement went viral and sparked reactions online.
Speaking in a TikTok live session with his children, Ochacho said the amount was insignificant to his family.
“₦400 million is no money. ₦400 million is just ₦400 as far as Ice Cream, Money Man or Churchill East Bay is concerned. It’s small money to them,” he said.
He was referring to his sons, who are also upcoming musicians.
When asked if they were the ones behind the gesture, the children answered yes. Ochacho also revealed their ages — King is 15, while Ice Cream will turn 13 in a few days.
*More Giveaways Announced*
The philanthropist did not stop at the house gift. During the same live session, he announced plans to pay school fees for struggling students.
According to him, students who are yet to pay their fees can be considered, provided they submit their school’s direct account details for payment to be made straight to the institution.
He disclosed that his son, Ice Cream, will pay the fees of selected students on Thursday, which coincides with Ice Cream’s birthday.
Ochacho said the beneficiaries will be picked from different parts of the country and urged interested students to get ready.
“We are more than ready to help. We are hungry to deliver,” he added.
The session ended on a light note with laughter and the popular slang, _“Who dey breathe?”_
*Mixed Reactions Trail Video*
The video has drawn mixed reactions online.
Some Nigerians believe Ochacho is using the generosity to promote his children and their music careers. Others argued there is nothing wrong with gaining positive publicity while also helping people.
Many focused on the gesture itself and praised him for giving back.
Ochacho is not new to philanthropy. In a previous video, Afrobeats star Davido hailed him after he reportedly gifted the singer a brand-new Lexus.
At Peller and Jarvis’ wedding, Ochacho’s son also performed one of his songs on stage.
With the ₦400 million house gift still generating conversation, Ochacho’s latest comments show how he views the amount — describing ₦400 million as just “₦400” in the context of what he considers small money.
