Oyo Acting Gov Congratulates Gbadamosi As Chairman Of Oyo State Muslim Community
Oyo State Acting Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, has congratulated Barrister Kazeem Gbadamosi, SAN, on his assumption of office as Chairman of the Oyo State Muslim Community.
In a congratulatory message on Monday, the Acting Governor described Gbadamosi’s emergence as the beginning of “a new chapter” for the Muslim community in the state.
He also felicitated other members of the new leadership who were sworn in alongside the chairman.
He expressed confidence that the new leadership would consolidate on the achievements of past administrations within the Muslim community and promote greater unity, cooperation, and peaceful coexistence among Muslims and adherents of other faiths in Oyo State.
His words: “I join Muslim ummah in Oyo state to congratulate Barrister Kazeem Gbadamosi, SAN, on his assumption as Chairman of Oyo State Muslim Community, as well as all others sworn in today.
“I pray that Almighty Allah grants them wisdom, strength, and the understanding required to serve the Muslim community effectively.
“The Oyo State Government remains committed to supporting religious institutions that promote peace, tolerance and development. We believe that under Gbadamosi’s leadership, the Muslim community will continue to play a vital role in fostering harmony and contributing meaningfully to the growth and stability of our dear state”.
The Acting Governor further urged the new executives to prioritize youth empowerment, education, social welfare, and interfaith dialogue as part of their tenure, noting that such efforts would strengthen the bond between the Muslim community and other stakeholders across the state.
He prayed for Allah’s guidance for the new leadership and wished them a successful tenure marked by progress, inclusiveness and service to humanity.
