One Year After Reconciliation, DSO Says Promises Made To Him Remain Unfulfilled

Hon. Damilare Sunday Olusanjo, popularly known as DSO or BSQUARE, has hinted that August 8, 2026 marks exactly one year since he withdrew his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, following appeals from party leaders in Ogbomoso North.

In a statement to mark the anniversary, DSO said he was persuaded to return to the party out of respect, loyalty and commitment to its progress.

He said: “Today marks exactly one year since I, Hon. Damilare Sunday Olusanjo (DSO) – BSQUARE, and my supporters were called upon, appealed to, and persuaded by many respected leaders to withdraw my resignation letter and return to the party”.

According to DSO, those who made the appeals included Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, Michael Ogunshina, Baba Ashipa, Baba Saka Balogun, Hon. Akinwale Akinwole (Wolekanle), Engr. Open Salawu, Prof. Afonja, Femi Onireti, Hon. George Ogunlade, Hon. Sunday Bankole, Hon. Lanre Odua, Hon. Jide Oketunbi, Engr. Abu Salam, Hon. Kabir Ayoade, Hon. Agbeti Rasak, Hon. Adoga, and several other distinguished leaders.

“Many promises were made. Out of respect, loyalty, and commitment, I listened and returned,” he stated.

DSO, however, expressed disappointment that one year after, none of the promises had been fulfilled.

“Today, one year later, nothing—absolutely nothing—has been done. My sacrifices, loyalty, financial commitment, time, and dedication have yet to be rewarded, despite honoring the words and appeals of these respected leaders,” he said.

Despite his concerns, DSO said he remains calm and hopeful.

“I still believe that God’s timing is the best, and that He rewards every genuine sacrifice in His own perfect time. Together to greatness,” he added.

It should be recalled that Hon. Damilare Sunday Olusanjo, on August 8, 2025, officially withdrawn his resignation from the PDP during the party’s General Meeting in Ogbomoso North Local Government. 

He made the announcement in company of his political structure, the BSQUARE TEAM.

His initial resignation letter, submitted on July 8, 2025, was formally withdrawn at the gathering.

The party welcomed him back with key leaders and stakeholders in attendance, including the Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North LG, Hon. George Ogunlade; PDP Treasurer, Hon. Sunday Bankole; and Ward Chairman, Alhaji Hamsat.

Deliberations at the meeting centered on the events that led to his temporary exit and the interventions by prominent figures within the party that paved the way for reconciliation.
