Excitement As APM Reps Candidate, Hon. Shehu Donates Wheelchairs, Rice, Crutches To Persons With Disabilities In Ido

_…Described As “Ever-Smiling” Philanthropist

Hon. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, popularly known as KSA, the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, has donated wheelchairs, elbow crutches, bags of rice and other relief materials to persons with disabilities, widows, the elderly and other vulnerable residents.

The empowerment programme was held on Thursday at the APM Party Secretariat in Ido Local Government Area.

Speaking during the presentation, KSA reiterated his commitment to grassroots development and support for persons with disabilities.

He urged members of the APM to remain united ahead of the forthcoming elections, noting that the Permanent Voter’s Card remains the power to ensure that all APM candidates emerge victorious.

“Your administration will bring unprecedented development to the federal constituency if elected,” he said, adding that the empowerment done at the party secretariat was “just the tip of the iceberg” as more opportunities were on the way.

He prayed that God would make it easy for the party to deliver more interventions.

Earlier in his remarks, the Executive Assistant on Disability Matters, Hon. Femi Timothy, commended KSA for his support for persons with disabilities, describing him as a replica of Governor Seyi Makinde in terms of care for vulnerable groups.

He said: “On behalf of Barr. Adekanmbi, I must commend you for your support of the people with disabilities. I really thank you for replicating the gesture of Governor Makinde in the lives of people with disabilities through your immense support and donations. It’s my prayer that God will make you emerge victoriously in the forthcoming 2027 general election.

The APM leaders, including the Chairman of the party in Ido, Musbahu Emiola, in their separate remarks, who described Hon. Shehu as ever smiling philanthropist, also urged members to mobilize support for KSA and other APM candidates.

“Let’s give Hon. Shehu our support to emerge in the forthcoming election. We are rest assured that he will bring unprecedented development to the Federal Constituency. He has been spending his hard-earned money to support people and his community even without holding any position before,” they said.

The leaders appealed to persons with disabilities not to be deceived by opposition candidates “who have not done anything to support them.”

While giving his vote of thanks, the Special Assistant to the Ido local government chairman on disability matters, Hon. Chucks Ibe however commended the donor for his philanthropic gesture and assured that PWDS will come out en-mass to deliver APM candidates in the forthcoming election.

MOUTHPIECE NGR understands that the empowerment initiative will be extended to Ibarapa East Local Government on Saturday.

Other outlined programmes include a free medical outreach, food bank, empowerment for persons with disabilities, commissioning of a solar-powered borehole, and the grand finale of the KSA Football Competition.

According to the organisers, the programmes are part of KSA’s efforts to provide practical and sustainable interventions that directly address the needs of the people while promoting inclusive community development.

About 100 beneficiaries are expected to participate in the free medical outreach designed for widows and elderly residents. Medical professionals will provide health consultations, basic examinations and essential healthcare services.
