Smato Hails Makinde’s Leadership After Safe Return of Kidnapped Oriire Pupils
The member representing Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Makanjuola Smato, has expressed profound gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for his unwavering commitment and relentless efforts that culminated in the safe release of schoolchildren abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
In a statement issued on Friday, Smato described the development as a moment of great relief and joy for the entire state.
He noted that the governor’s determination, strategic leadership, and close collaboration with security agencies played a significant role in ensuring the children’s safe return.
The federal lawmaker congratulated the government and people of Oyo State, particularly the families of the victims, on the successful reunion with their loved ones after days of anxiety and uncertainty.
While maintaining that the victory is for the people of Oyo State and a testament to what purposeful leadership and coordinated security efforts can achieve, Hon. Smato specifically commended Governor Seyi Makinde for no stone unturned in ensuring the safe release of the innocent children.
He prayed that such a painful incident would never recur in Oyo State or any part of the country, whilst urging security agencies to remain vigilant and strengthen measures to protect schools and communities from criminal elements.
