PHOTOS: Onijo Vanguard Rallies Youths, Stakeholders in Saki West Ahead of 2027

A chieftain of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, in Saki West Local Government Area, Barr. Lateef Sarafadeen Abiola Onijo, through his political movement, ‘Onijo Vanguard,’ on Sunday organized a get-together for youths and party members through the Onijo Vanguard. 

The event, held as part of efforts to ensure a resounding victory for all APM candidates in the 2027 general elections, drew party leaders and stakeholders from across Saki West.

Dignitaries at the gathering included former PDP Chairman in Saki West, Alhaji Bashiru Shittu Kekere, Chairman of the OYALU Movement; Alhaji Waheed Olaniyan; Alhaji Musbau Busari, _Accuracy_; Elder Tanmola; Alhaji Newday; Baba OYALU; Ward Chairmen; Councillors; APM Women’s Forum; the Hausa-Fulani community led by Abdullahi Maisuya; and the Olori Odo of Saki, who is also Youth Leader of Saki Parapo Association, Mr. Olafimihan Fatai, among others.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman of the occasion, Comrade Sulaiman Alagbo, urged youths and women to work as a team to ensure APM’s victory in the forthcoming general election.

Alhaji Shittu Kekere also charged the youths to gird their loins and work vigorously to ensure APM retains power in the next election.

In his remarks, Chairman of the Vanguard, Comrade Sulaiman Oloba, called on the youths to remain resolute and dedicated, noting that the task ahead is enormous.

The leader of the Hausa community pledged loyalty to the party, saying: “We have decided to follow Barrister Onijo and there is no going back. We are ready to work for the success of all APM candidates.”

In his address as chief host, Barr. Onijo appreciated everyone for their support and dedication to the party’s success. 

He urged his followers to remain resolute and to mobilize support for all APM candidates when the time comes. 

He also issued a stern warning to detractors: “No one, within or outside, should try anything funny with the party. We possess a full aquarium that can face fire with water.”

Barr. Onijo expressed gratitude to all who attended the meeting.

The event ended with musical entertainment by Alhaji Kareem Alabede Celica, the Oba Fuji of Oke-Ogun.
