OYSROMA hails Makinde over approval of ₦2.9bn Idi-Igba-Akinmorin road

The Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency, OYSROMA, Hon. Busoye Ogunlade, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for approving the construction of the 4-kilometre Idi-Igba-Akinmorin Road in Ilora, Afijio Local Government Area.

Ogunlade described the project as another demonstration of the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development across the state.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Ogunlade also expressed appreciation to the governor for assigning the execution of the road project to OYSROMA, saying the decision reflects the confidence reposed in the agency’s capacity to deliver quality and durable road infrastructure.

According to him, the approval of the project will improve connectivity within the affected communities, stimulate socio-economic activities, enhance the movement of people and goods, and improve the livelihoods of residents in the area.

The State Executive Council approved the construction of the 4-kilometre Idi-Igba-Akinmorin Road in Ilora at a cost of ₦2,900,715,000 during its meeting on Wednesday. The Council cited the expected socio-economic rejuvenation and development the project would bring to the area.

Ogunlade assured that OYSROMA would justify the trust placed in it by ensuring that the project is executed in line with approved specifications and completed within the stipulated timeframe.

“I want to sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for approving the construction of the 4-kilometre Idi-Igba-Akinmorin Road and, more importantly, for entrusting OYSROMA with the responsibility of executing the project. This clearly shows his confidence in the capacity of the agency to deliver quality infrastructure for the people of Oyo State,” he said.

The OYSROMA chairman further pledged that the agency would not disappoint the governor or the people of the state.

“We will not betray the confidence reposed in us by Governor Makinde. OYSROMA remains committed to delivering a standard road project that will stand the test of time and meet the expectations of the government and the benefiting communities,” he added.
