Makinde Inaugurates APM Apex Campaign Council for Oyo, Charges Members on Inclusive Mobilization Ahead of 2027
The Governor of Oyo State and Presidential Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement, APM, Engr. ‘Seyi Makinde, on Friday inaugurated the party’s Apex Campaign Council for Oyo State.
Speaking at the event held in the Conference Room, Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, Governor Makinde charged members of the council to reach out to all stakeholders and ensure proper integration for an all-inclusive campaign structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The council is chaired by Dr. Nureni Adeniran, Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB. He will serve concurrently as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director General of the Oyo State Governorship Campaign.

Governor Makinde urged members of the campaign council to engage leaders of the Allied People’s Movement and integrate existing party structures and platforms without delay.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal; the APM Gubernatorial Candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, and his running mate, Engr. Mufutau Open Salawu; the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Olanike Adeyemo; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, PhD; and the Senior Executive Assistant to the Governor on General Duties, Chief Bayo Lawal.
