*Court orders final forfeiture of ₦8.9bn jewellery, cars, $50,000, ₦30m linked to Aisha Achimugu*
A Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court sitting in Apo has ordered the final forfeiture of jewellery worth ₦4.6 billion, 11 exotic cars valued at ₦4.3 billion, $50,000 and ₦30 million cash, all linked to businesswoman Aisha Achimugu, to the Federal Government.
Justice Jude Onwugbuzie granted the final forfeiture application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and dismissed Achimugu’s objections.
*Earlier forfeiture*
Achimugu has been in a running battle with the EFCC. On March 25, 2026, a Federal High Court ordered the final forfeiture of $13 million linked to her and her firm, Oceangate Engineering Oil & Gas Ltd.
The court’s latest decision followed the anti-graft agency’s application seeking the permanent forfeiture of the assets to the government.
*Forfeited assets*
The forfeited items comprise high-value personal effects and cash holdings linked to Achimugu, whose assets have previously been the subject of legal proceedings.
Details of the judgment were contained in the ruling delivered by Justice Onwugbuzie.
