At 90, Baba Saka Balogun Stands Tall as Oyo’s ‘Repository of Wisdom’ – Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin

Oyo State House of Assembly Majority Leader, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, has paid a heartfelt tribute to Dr. Saka Balogun on his 90th birthday, describing him as a bridge-builder, a mentor, and a guiding light for Oyo politics.

According to Hon. Adedoyin, Dr. Balogun’s life is a testament to 90 years of impact, service, and dedication to the growth and development of Oyo State.

The lawmaker in a statement on Tuesday noted that from his tenure as Chief of Staff to the late Governor Alao-Akala to his current role as Chairman of the Advisory Council to Governor Makinde, Baba Saka has consistently offered wisdom, experience and patriotism to successive governments.

“He is humble, accessible and deeply committed to the welfare of the people. His counsel cuts across party lines and his loyalty has always been to Oyo State and its people,” the lawmaker said.

Hon. Adedoyin, who represents Ogbomoso South State Constituency, added that he and many other young politicians have drawn strength and direction from Baba’s mentorship.

He prayed that Allah continues to bless Dr. Balogun with good health, peace, and more years to inspire the next generation of leaders.

“Oyo State is proud of Baba Saka Balogun. Today, we celebrate not just his age, but his legacy,” he said.
