APM Guber Candidate Adekanmbi Continues Thank-You Tour in Surulere, Ogo-Oluwa, Promises Inclusive Governance

The governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, on Tuesday continued his statewide thank-you tour with visits to Surulere and Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Areas, where he reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance and grassroots-driven development.

Accompanied by his running mate, Hon. Muftau Open-Salawu, Adekanmbi received a warm reception from party faithful, community leaders and residents, who gathered to welcome the APM delegation.

Addressing stakeholders during the tour, the APM standard-bearer expressed appreciation for the confidence and support shown to him by party members and the electorate, assuring them that an APM-led administration would prioritise the needs and aspirations of communities across the state.

Adekanmbi highlighted his record in public service, recalling his tenure as Chairman of the Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) in Oyo State, where he said he coordinated several community-driven development projects across Surulere, Ogo-Oluwa and other parts of the state.

According to him, the interventions covered critical sectors such as education, healthcare, water supply and rural infrastructure, stressing that sustainable development is best achieved when communities actively participate in identifying and implementing projects that directly affect their lives.

He pledged that, if elected governor, his administration would focus on grassroots development, social inclusion and the equitable distribution of government resources.

Adekanmbi also promised to strengthen participatory governance by empowering local communities and ensuring that development reaches every part of Oyo State.

“The vision of building a prosperous and people-centred Oyo State can only be realised through collective effort, inclusive leadership and an unwavering commitment to the common good,” he said.

Also on the thank-you tour were the APM candidate for the Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa Federal Constituency, Hon. Sunday Ojo Makanjuola, popularly known as SMATO, and the party’s candidate for the Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa State Constituency, Hon. Abideen Adeoye Ogundare.

Other party leaders in attendance included the Oyo State Chairman of the APM, Hon. Fagbemi Adegbenro Peters, the Alliance Chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, as well as other party executives and stakeholders.
