Adekanmbi Sympathises with Bode Market Fire Victims, Donates Cash for Relief

The governorship candidate of the Action People’s Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Bimbo Adekanmbi, has sympathised with traders affected by the recent fire outbreak at Bode Market in Ibadan, describing the incident as a painful loss for many families and business owners.

Adekanmbi, who visited the market today, to assess the extent of the damage, expressed sadness over the destruction of goods and means of livelihood caused by the inferno. He urged the affected traders to remain hopeful despite the unfortunate incident.

As part of efforts to support the victims, the APM governorship candidate donated N2.5 million cash to traders whose shops and goods were destroyed by the fire. He said the gesture was intended to provide immediate relief and demonstrate solidarity with those affected.

According to him, the fire disaster has further highlighted the need for improved safety measures in markets across the state, including better fire prevention facilities and emergency response systems.

Adekanmbi also called on well-meaning individuals to extend assistance to the victims to enable them to rebuild their businesses and restore their means of livelihood.

He prayed for the affected traders, expressing hope that they would recover from the losses and return to their businesses stronger.

The traders who received the donation appreciated Adekanmbi for identifying with them during the difficult period, describing his visit and support as timely and encouraging.
