Oyo State Deputy Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, has lauded Ibadan-based broadcaster, Mayor Isaac Brown, describing him as a “radio guru,” a “remarkable gift to journalism,” and one of Nigeria’s most exceptional on-air personalities as he marks his birthday anniversary.
The Deputy Governor, in a statement released on Tuesday, further described Isaac Brown, host of Political Circuit and Situation Room on Fresh 105.9FM, Ibadan, as a significant journalist and a highly effective broadcaster.
He highlighted Brown’s adept use of communication theories to foster progress in Oyo State, contribute to Nigeria’s development, and positively impact humanity.
Barr. Lawal further acknowledged Brown’s role in mobilizing and empowering Oyo State residents and Nigerians through his Fresh FM platforms.
He emphasized the broadcaster’s provision of crucial avenues for public discourse and his courageous accountability of those in power, whilst commending his professionalism, humor, unbiased analysis, and insightful conversations.
The deputy governor also noted Brown’s unwavering commitment to journalistic principles, his courage in exposing administrative shortcomings without fear or favor, adding that Brown’s political engagement has contributed to the successes of the Seyi Makinde led-administration.
