Two Years of Transformation: Ogunlade Installs Solar Power at Ogbomoso North Council Secretariat
The Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, has marked his second year in office with the installation of a solar power system at the local government council secretariat, reaffirming his commitment to improved service delivery and staff welfare.
According to a statement released by his Media Aide, Comrade Alade Toheeb, the solar power project is another significant milestone in the chairman’s administration, which has been characterized by impactful developmental projects across the local government.
Since assuming office, Hon. George Ogunlade has embarked on several people-oriented initiatives, including the drilling of boreholes to provide access to clean and safe water, the installation of solar-powered streetlights in strategic locations, and the renovation of the council secretariat to create a more conducive working environment for staff and visitors.
Speaking on the achievement, the chairman emphasized that the welfare of workers and the effective functioning of the council remain top priorities of his administration. He noted that the newly installed solar power system will ensure a stable electricity supply within the secretariat, thereby enhancing productivity and reducing operational challenges.
Hon. George Ogunlade also commended the directors and members of staff of the council for their cooperation and support over the past two years. He acknowledged the cordial working relationship between the management and staff, describing it as a key factor behind the successes recorded by his administration.
In his remarks, the Media Aide praised the chairman for his dedication to grassroots development and commitment to fulfilling his promises to the people of Ogbomoso North. He stated that the numerous achievements recorded within two years of the administration have justified the confidence reposed in the chairman by the electorate.
Comrade Alade added that the performance of Hon. George clearly demonstrates that “one good term deserves another,” noting that the chairman’s leadership has brought visible transformation to the local government through infrastructural development, improved welfare, and people-centered governance.
