Roots Before Rallies: YAH Excos in Ejigbo, Oshodi, and Isolo Chart a Grassroots Path for Hamzat
Youth Advocate for Hamzat (YAH) | June 2026
Across three of Lagos’ most populous local government areas, something deliberate is underway. The executive councils of Youth Advocate for Hamzat (YAH) in Ejigbo, Oshodi, and Isolo have been convening strategic meetings with one clear mission: build the grassroots infrastructure needed to deliver a winning mandate for Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as Lagos State’s next governor.
These are not ceremonial gatherings. They are working sessions focused, structured, and driven by the urgent task of turning community goodwill into organised political force.
Mobilisation from the Ground Up
At the heart of each exco’s agenda is grassroots mobilisation. The ward-by-ward, street-by-street work that no campaign can afford to skip. In Ejigbo, the focus is on identifying and activating community influencers: trusted faces in markets, places of worship, and neighbourhoods who can carry the YAH message where it matters most.
Oshodi’s exco, operating in one of Lagos’ most commercially active corridors, is building structured outreach drives to reach residents directly. Isolo mirrors this energy, coordinating support networks that keep members engaged and aligned beyond major campaign moments.
Youth at the Centre
For a movement built on youth advocacy, putting young people at the decision-making table is non-negotiable. Across all three LGAs, youth members are being positioned as ward coordinators, digital mobilisers, and community ambassadors — not just foot soldiers, but active architects of the Hamzat campaign.
With Lagos’ youth population representing a decisive voting bloc, YAH’s message is clear: organised, engaged youth build governments.
Join Hands, Build Lagos.
