Oyekunle Trains 57 Special Assistants in Ibadan North’s First Capacity-Building Programme

Rep. Folajimi Oyekunle, member for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, has held a capacity-building training for the 57 special assistants in his office.

The programme, organised in partnership with Alphonso Consult, was aimed at equipping the aides with skills in service delivery, communication and representation of the lawmaker’s agenda across the constituency, according to a statement.

Dayo Ogunbowale, Special Assistant to the Oyo State Governor on Communication, spoke on loyalty, coordination and strategic communication in public service. He urged the assistants to promote Oyekunle’s work responsibly, serve as his representatives in public and private engagements, and maintain a coordinated communication structure to avoid conflicting messages.

Stephen Oguntoyinbo, Executive Director of Media for Social Impact in the U.S., facilitated a session on media strategy. He advised the aides to use traditional and digital media responsibly, provide accurate and timely information, manage public perception, maintain consistent messaging and prepare for crisis communication.

The assistants thanked Oyekunle for the training and pledged to apply the lessons in their duties. Oyekunle’s office described the programme as the first of its kind for the constituency.
