Isaac Fayose Slams Brother, Ex-Gov Ayo Fayose Over Comment on Oyo Abduction

Isaac Fayose has criticized his elder brother, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, over the latter’s recent comments on the abduction of schoolchildren in Oyo State.

During an interview with Channels TV, the former governor alleged that Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde may have orchestrated the abduction of about 42 students and teachers. He claimed Makinde has the means to stop the security crisis in his state but chose to blackmail the president instead.

Fayose’s claim has drawn backlash on social media, with users accusing him of defending President Bola Tinubu’s administration amid worsening insecurity.

Reacting in a video posted to his official Facebook page, Isaac Fayose said he is ashamed of his elder brother.

Isaac, a good governance advocate, alleged that the former governor is struggling to remain relevant by supporting the All Progressives Congress-led government.

“Four weeks ago, they kidnapped people in Ekiti State. Why didn’t you tell the governor that he collects security votes and should protect the people?” Isaac said.

“My brother, people are looking at you like, ‘What is this man turning into?’ Do you mean that people are being killed in Katsina, Kwara, and other APC states because their governors pocketed their security votes?

“If you don’t have anything to say, please remain quiet like every other former governor. It is not by force to be relevant.”
