Hon. George Ogunlade Mourns the Passing of the Aare Musulumi of Ogbomosoland
The Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Aare Musulumi of Ogbomosoland, Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Atanda Owodunni.
Describing the late Aare Musulumi as a devoted Muslim, an elder statesman, and a pillar of support to the Ogbomoso community, Hon. George Ogunlade noted that his demise has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.
According to the Chairman, Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Atanda Owodunni dedicated his life to the service of Allah and humanity, contributing immensely to the promotion of peace, unity, and the advancement of Islam in Ogbomosoland. His wisdom, fatherly guidance, and unwavering commitment to community development earned him the respect and admiration of many.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Ogbomoso North Local Government, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the Muslim Ummah, and the entire people of Ogbomosoland. We pray that Almighty Allah grants everyone affected by this irreparable loss the strength and fortitude to bear it,” the Chairman stated.
Hon. George further prayed that Allah (SWT) forgives the shortcomings and sins of the deceased, accepts his good deeds, widens and illuminates his grave, and grants him eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus.
The passing of Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Atanda Owodunni is undoubtedly a great loss to Ogbomosoland. However, the values he upheld, the lives he touched, and the legacy of faith and service he leaves behind will continue to inspire generations to come.
