GLORIOUS Inspects Newly Constructed Registry, Multi-Purpose Hall Ahead of Commissioning in Ona-Ara
The Executive Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, on Monday led a high-powered delegation of stakeholders, government officials, political appointees, and party leaders on a comprehensive inspection tour of the newly constructed Registry and Multi-Purpose Hall Beside Ogbere-Tioya Bridge, ahead of its official commissioning.
Speaking shortly after the inspection, Dr. GLORIOUS expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for providing an enabling environment and opportunity for local government administrations to thrive and contribute meaningfully to grassroots development.
The Chairman noted that the projects are products of effective collaboration between the Oyo State Government and local government authorities, describing them as strategic investments aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery.
According to him, one of the major objectives of the newly constructed facilities is to boost the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the Local Government while also providing a befitting environment for official engagements, social functions, community activities, and administrative operations.
“Our administration remains committed to delivering impactful and people-oriented projects that will improve the quality of life of our people and accelerate socio-economic development across Ona-Ara Local Government,” Dr. GLORIOUS stated.
“These projects are not merely physical structures; they represent our unwavering commitment to fulfilling our promises to the people. They are investments in the future of Ona-Ara, designed to serve generations yet unborn.”
The Chairman further commended party leaders, stakeholders, councillors, contractors, and supervising agencies for their dedication, cooperation, and commitment towards the successful execution of the projects. He urged all concerned parties to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and ensure that any outstanding finishing touches are completed promptly.
Among those who accompanied the Chairman on the inspection tour were the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Hon. Mufutau Ogunremi; Vice Chairman and Head of Inukan LCDA, Hon. Windapo Oluwole; Leader of the House, Hon. Abolade Yerima; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Sunmonu; Chief of Staff, Hon. Isiaka Arinola; Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaja Mujidat Adewumi; Director of Administration and General Services, Mr. Olanrewaju Olatunbosun; Director of Finance, Mr. Oyeniran Akinloye Amos; and Director of Works, Engr. Oladejo and all other Directors at the council.
Others present included the Immediate Past PDP Chairman in Ona-Ara Local Government, Hon. Mosobalaje Bakare; Chief Waheed Ajao Adurodekun; the PDP Chairman, Alfa Adeyemo Kehinde; the former Council Chairman, Hon. Nurudeen Akanni; Councillors, Supervisory Councillors, Special Assistants, and other key Government Functionaries.
Stakeholders who participated in the inspection expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and the pace of development, describing the projects as clear evidence of the administration’s determination to deliver the dividends of democracy and fulfill its campaign promises to the people of Ona-Ara.
The ultra-modern Multi-Purpose Hall, one of the flagship projects inspected, is expected to be commissioned in the coming days and will serve as a major venue for official ceremonies, community gatherings, conferences, meetings, and socio-cultural activities, thereby contributing significantly to the social and economic development of the Local Government.
The inspection tour further underscores the commitment of the Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS-led administration to transparency, accountability, sustainable development, and grassroots transformation as it continues to bring governance closer to the people through impactful infrastructural projects.
