Disability Offices Commend Governor Makinde on Quality of APM Candidates, Hail Unveiling of Engr. Muftau Salawu

The Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Oyo State and The Office of the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Disability Matters have commended His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for his exemplary leadership and foresight in assembling a team of competent and visionary individuals to steer the affairs of Oyo State beyond 2027.

This commendation follows the official unveiling of Engr. Muftau Salawu as the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), alongside the party’s governorship candidate, Mr. Bimbo Adekanmbi, during a ceremony held in Ibadan on Wednesday.

In a joint statement, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Disability Matters, Hon. Timothy Olufemi, and the Agency for Persons with Disabilities described the emergence of Engr. Salawu as another testament to Governor Makinde’s commitment to excellence, competence, and continuity in governance.

According to the statement, the quality of aspirants and candidates produced under the leadership of Governor Makinde reflects his determination to ensure that the remarkable gains recorded in Oyo State over the years are sustained and improved upon.

The offices noted that Engr. Salawu’s track record as a seasoned engineer and administrator speaks volumes about his capacity to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the state.

The offices also commended Mr. Bimbo Adekanmbi, describing him as an exceptionally intelligent, seasoned, and visionary leader whose wealth of experience, strategic thinking, and commitment to good governance make him eminently qualified to lead Oyo State to greater heights. His sterling record of service and reputation for excellence continue to inspire confidence in the future of the state, and we are convinced that his leadership, alongside that of Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, will consolidate on the remarkable achievements recorded under Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration

They further expressed confidence that the APM would continue to witness tremendous growth and acceptance across Oyo State and beyond, owing to the caliber of leaders and aspirants being presented to the people.
