Alhaji Bashiru Congratulates Open Salawu on Nomination as APM Deputy Governorship Candidate

A prominent community leader, Alhaji Abdul-Azeez Bashiru, has extended warm congratulations to Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, FNSE, the Babalaje of Ogbomosoland, on his official unveiling as the Allied People’s Movement, APM, Deputy Governorship Candidate for the forthcoming Oyo State governorship election.

In his message on Thursday, Alhaji Bashiru described the nomination as a proud moment for Ogbomosoland and a testament to Engr. Open Salawu’s track record of service, competence, and commitment to community development.

“Engr. Open Salawu is a son of Ogbomoso whose life has been dedicated to the progress of our people. His selection by the APM is well-deserved and reflects the confidence stakeholders have in his capacity to contribute meaningfully to governance in Oyo State,” he said.

Alhaji Bashiru noted that the deputy governorship slot presents a strategic opportunity for Ogbomoso zone to consolidate its influence and attract development to the area.

He urged sons and daughters of Ogbomoso to set aside differences and rally behind Open Salawu and the APM governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, to ensure victory at the polls.
