An Osun Central Senatorial aspirant in the just concluded Accord consensus arrangement, held in line with the Electoral Act 2026 as amended, Mr. Olusegun Elijah Olasunkanmi, popularly known as Omo Oluwa, on Saturday distributed food items to Muslim faithful ahead of the Ileya festival celebration.

The distribution exercise took place at Imole House, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo, as part of his continued support for the re-election bid of Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke

Speaking during the event, Omo Oluwa appreciated his supporters and party faithful for their unwavering commitment and loyalty to the party. According to him:

«“There is a time for everything in life, and nobody wins all the time. In every contest, a winner must emerge, and once our leaders, in their wisdom, settled for one among us, we all have to move on. That will not stop our support for the party, the government, and our collective resolve to ensure Osun State does not return to the dark days of APC rule.”»

He explained that the food items were distributed to ensure that Muslims and members of the community celebrate the Sallah festival with joy and abundance.

Omo Oluwa further stated that his support base for the party and Governor Adeleke would continue to grow, stressing that governance is a collective responsibility.

«“We all know that Mr. Governor can not do it alone, and there is no way he can personally reach everyone across the state. We all need to come together to defend the mandate, which Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke has been protecting and will continue to defend beyond 2026. I congratulate everyone and wish our Muslim faithful a happy and peaceful Sallah celebration.”»

The distribution of the food items was led by the State Party Chairman, Pastor Victor Akande, in the presence of the ten Local Government Party Chairmen led by the Osogbo Local Government Party Chairman, state officers from Osun Central, and several other party stakeholders and supporters.
