LAUTECH Don And Husband of Abducted Oyo Principal, Rachael Alamu Pleads for Wife’s Rescue

MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that the husband of Mrs. Rachael Alamu, the school principal abducted in Oyo State, has appealed for urgent action to secure her release and that of other victims.

Recall that gunmen abducted Mrs. Alamu, six other teachers, and up to 39 pupils during attacks on schools in the Ahoro-Esinle and Yawota areas on May 15, 2026.

One teacher, Joel Adesiyan, was killed during the raid. Another, Michael Oyedokun, was later killed by the abductors.

Mrs. Alamu has appeared in videos from captivity calling for negotiation after a reported rescue attempt failed.

Governor Seyi Makinde, while meeting with the victims families, including Mrs Alamu husband, who is a lecturer in LAUTECH, to commiserate with him, said security operations to free the victims are ongoing with federal support.

Families of the abducted teachers and pupils are appealing for help as public outrage grows over insecurity in the state.

The Oyo State Police Command has yet to issue a statement on the current status of the victims or the rescue efforts.
