Ogbomoso South PDP stakeholders endorse Adedoyin as consensus candidate for Assembly seat
The Peoples Democratic Party stakeholders in Ogbomoso South Local Government Area have unanimously endorsed Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, the majority leader of the Oyo state House of Assembly, as its consensus candidate for the 2027 general election.
Adedoyin, currently in his second term representing the Ogbomoso South State constituency, was chosen at a stakeholders meeting held Thursday at the residence of Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi in Ogbomoso South Local Government Area.
Attendees at the endorsement ceremony included the executive Chairman of the local Government, Hon. Oyedokun Oyeniyi Thimothy OOT; Hon. Jimoh AbdRasheed Ayinla, PDP Chairman Ogbomoso South Local Government; Hon. Alh Mujidat Kareem, Vice Chairman Ogbomoso South Local Government; Hon. Mrs Olaniran Toyin, Oyo State PDP women Leader; Hon. Oguntoye Moses, former PDP party Chairman Ogbomoso South Local Government; Hon Abel Taiwo Alagbe, former Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso South Local Government; and the immediate past Oyo State Organising Secretary and Mrs Agbejinmi Oladayo, former EX – OFFICIO of Oyo State PDP.
Also present were other leaders and principal stakeholders of the party, including Hon. Ebenezer Segun Ogunwuyi, who was unavoidably absent but sent his goodwill message of support for the endorsement.
Aremu Mikky Adeyemi, the senior legislative assistant on Media Strategy and Public communications to the Majority Leader Oyo State House of Assembly, said who confirmed the development noted that the stakeholders unanimously endorsed Adedoyin for a third term in appreciation of his transformational agenda in Ogbomoso South.
While commending his legislative intelligence and experience, the stakeholders highlighted his capacity and competence, particularly in facilitating transformational development in Ogbomoso South and Ogbomoso Local Government areas.
They equally commended Adedoyin for his numerous empowerment programs and his representation of Ogbomoso South in the House of Assembly, noting the significant positive changes since he took office.
The stakeholders meeting followed the directive of the state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, who instructed leaders and aspirants to meet and agree on a candidate for the 2027 general election.
