Ward 10, Owode-Ipapo PDP Members Laud Gov Makinde, Party Leaders Over Appointment of New LG Chairman

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Owode-Ipapo ward 10 in Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo state have expressed their gratitude to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, the state party chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, and other party leaders for appointing Hon. Salau Olaniyi Nurudeen as the Itesiwaju Local Government Party Chairman after the passing of Hon. Ganiyu Owolabi on November 4, 2025.

In a statement released on Wednesday, they noted that this appointment is a great honor and a call to greater responsibility.

The statement reads: “With deep gratitude, the members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ward 10, Owode-Ipapo in Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State, sincerely express our profound appreciation to His Excellency, Engr. Abiodun Oluseyi Makinde, the State Party Chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, and all party stakeholders for appointing our son, Hon. Salau Olaniyi Nurudeen, as Itesiwaju Local Government Party Chairman following the demise of the former Chairman, Hon. Ganiyu Owolabi, who passed away on November 4, 2025.

“This confidence is a great honor and a call to greater responsibility. We accept it with humility and a firm commitment to justify this trust through dedicated, transparent service to the party and the people.

“We assure our leaders that, by God’s grace, he will work tirelessly to uphold the unity, discipline, and progress of our party. He will ensure that every voice is heard and valued.
