Osun 2026: APC picks Ife born lawmaker as Oyebamiji’s running mate 

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has named former Chief Whip of the State House of Assembly, Hon Lekan Olatunji as the Deputy Governorship Candidate for Osun 2026 governorship election.

APC during the weekend announced Olatunji as running mate to Bola Oyebamiji.

The APC Deputy Governorship Candidate in Osun 2026 hails from Edunabon in Ife North local government. He represented Ifelodun North State Constituency in the State Assembly from 2015 to 2023.

He is a grassroots Politician with deep connection with the youth constituency.

Olatunji’s nomination came as a shock to some APC supporters who were tipping former Commissioner for Works, Oluremi Omowaiye.

Omowaiye and Olatunji are from Osun East Senatorial District while APC governorship candidate is from the Western axis.
