GOC 2 Division visits 12 brigade, assesses operational readiness, inaugurates projects
The General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Chinedu Ralph Nnebeife has commended the professionalism, discipline and commitment of troops of 12 Brigade, Nigerian Army, charging them to remain loyal, disciplined and dedicated to duty while sustaining the tempo of operations with sister security agencies and other stakeholders, to ensure lasting peace and security within the Areas of their responsibility.
The GOC gave this commendation during his visit to the Headquarters of 12 Brigade Nigerian Army, Lokoja where he also inaugurated projects executed by the Brigade in furtherance of personnel welfare and improved operational efficiency.
A statement by the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations 12 Brigade Nigerian Army Lieutenant HASSAN ABDULLAHI says, the GOC during the visit inaugurated the remodeled Quarter Guard as well as three blocks of two bedrooms, two family semi detached Senior Non Commissioned Officer’s Quarters and inspection of the renovated National Youth Service Corps Lodge, expressing satisfaction with the standard of work done.
He commends the Brigade leadership for its deliberate focus on welfare and provision of a conducive working and living environment for troops.
Dignitaries at the event include the Security Adviser to the Kogi State Government, Commander, Nigerian Navy Ship Lugard, Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kogi State Command, members of 12 Brigade Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association and members of 12 Brigade Nigerian Army Soldiers Wives Association.
High points of the visit was the planting of trees and presentation of souvenirs.
