Birthday: Makinde’s E.A Security, CP Odukoya (rtd) eulogizes CoS, Otunba Ogunwuyi
Former Commissioner of Police and current Executive Assistant on Security Matters to Governor Seyi Makinde, Sunday Odukoya, has paid glowing tribute to the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary celebration.
This was as he described him as a steady hand whose influence has helped strengthen governance and coordination within the Oyo State Government.
In his felicitation message on Monday, the Odukoya praised the Chief of Staff for his discipline, loyalty, and deep understanding of public service.
He noted that the role of the Chief of Staff goes beyond administration to quiet leadership and bridge building across government.
Odukoya added that the Chief of Staff has remained a dependable support to Governor Makinde, ensuring that policy directives are effectively communicated and implemented while maintaining harmony among government officials and stakeholders.
According to him, the Chief of Staff’s approach to leadership reflects patience, maturity, and an ability to manage pressure, qualities he described as essential in a complex political environment like Oyo State.
The former police boss also acknowledged the Chief of Staff’s behind the scenes contributions to security coordination.
He noted that as Chief of Staff, he is widely regarded as a central figure in aligning the governor’s vision with day to day execution across ministries, departments, and agencies.
He stressed that Ogunwuyi’s effective coordination often depends on individuals who work diligently without seeking public attention.
