The installation ceremony, rich in tradition and cultural symbolism, marked the culmination of decades of dedicated service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of Ogbomoso. A respected political figure and former PDP chieftain, Chief Saka Adegbite Balogun has now transitioned from partisan politics to a higher traditional calling that transcends political affiliations.

Speaking on the significance of the occasion, Hon. George described the installation as a call to greater and broader service. According to him, the era of party politics has given way to a noble mandate that demands unity, courage, and selfless dedication to the people of Ogbomosoland.

“As Balogun of Ogbomosoland, my father now stands as a leader for all,” he stated. “Ogbomoso needs him at this time to provide guidance, stability, and wisdom beyond political boundaries.”

Hon. George also expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, for his unwavering support for traditional institutions and grassroots development. He noted that the governor’s commitment to peace, cultural heritage, and inclusive governance continues to strengthen unity across the state, including Ogbomosoland.

According to him, the peaceful installation of the Balogun reflects the enabling environment created by Gov. Seyi Makinde administration, which consistently upholds respect for tradition while promoting progress and development.

The Balogun title, historically regarded as a symbol of strength, protection, and leadership, places Chief Saka Adegbite Balogun at the heart of traditional governance. His role carries the responsibility of promoting peace, preserving cultural heritage, and fostering communal progress. His installation has been widely welcomed as a unifying moment for Ogbomosoland.

Hon. George further congratulated His Imperial Majesty, Ọba Ghandi Olaoye, Orumogege III, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, for the successful installation of a new Balogun. He commended the monarch’s visionary leadership, wisdom, and commitment to strengthening traditional structures in the land.

“Kabiyesi has once again demonstrated outstanding leadership by guiding this important traditional process with wisdom and dignity,” Hon. George said. “Ogbomosoland is blessed with a royal father who values unity, peace, and cultural pride.”

In his concluding remarks, Hon. George offered heartfelt prayers for a peaceful, impactful, and successful reign for the newly installed Balogun, wishing him good health, divine wisdom, and long life.

“As you begin this new chapter of service, may your reign be long, prosperous, and filled with honour. Ogbomosoland is proud of you.”
