Oyo lawmaker, Ogundele felicitates Baba Bankole at 80, describes him as pride of Oriire LG

Oyo lawmaker representing Oriire State Constituency, Hon. Akintola Johnson Ogundele, has lauded the steadfastness and commitment of former Chairman of the Governing Board of Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi (FIIRO) and a two time Commissioner in Oyo State, who oversaw the Ministries of Health between 1992-1993 and Finance, Budget and Economic Planning btw 2007-2011, Chief Johnson Adebayo Bankole, on the occasion of his 80th birthday anniversary.

Ogundele, in a statement on Saturday, described Chief Bankole as a pride of Oriire Local Government Area and a stalwart of Oriire politics, whose contributions to the progress of Ogbomoso zone and Oyo State are immense.

He commended Chief Bankole’s leadership qualities, which have been exemplary to PDP members and supporters in Oriire.

The lawmaker also expressed gratitude to Chief Bankole for mentoring him in politics since 2001, acknowledging his significant impact on Oyo State’s political landscape and his unwavering dedication to the PDP.

“Today, we celebrate not just your 80th birthday, but a life of purpose, service, and love. Your legacy of integrity and dedication continues to inspire many in the political sphere. You’ve shown us what it means to live with devotion to God, family, and community, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
