Osun: I remain apolitical, not a member of ADC— Bewaji debunks rumor

A prominent indigene of Osun, a technocrat and an Entrepreneur has distanced himself from a report that listed his name among attendees at the inauguration of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osogbo, insisting that he remains apolitical.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, following Tuesday’s report that he had joined the ADC meeting with other political leaders, he clarified that he was out of the country at the time and therefore could not have been present.

According to him, for the avoidance of doubt, I do not belong to any political bloc or party. I remain strictly apolitical while maintaining respect for all political leaders within and outside Osun State.

He said: “My attention has been drawn to a report listing my name among those who attended the inauguration of the African Democratic Congress in Osogbo yesterday. I have been receiving disturbing calls from people who want to confirm my participation in the political gathering.

“I wish to categorically state that I was not part of the gathering. I am currently out of the country, and therefore could not have been present at the event.

For the avoidance of doubt, I do not belong to any political bloc or political party. I remain strictly apolitical while maintaining respect for all political leaders within and outside Osun State.

“This disclaimer is issued to inform the general public that I had no involvement whatsoever in the ADC gathering. The inclusion of my name may have been done mischievously or may have resulted from confusion with someone who bears a similar name.”
