PDP Venue Committee Inspects Adamasigba Stadium Ahead of November 15 Convention

Ahead of the November 15 convention in Ibadan, the PDP Venue Committee, led by Oyo State Deputy Governor Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, has announced that about 3,600 delegates are expected to attend the event at the Adamasigba Stadium.

During a site inspection on Monday, the Committee Secretary Hon. Stanley Odidiomo described the stadium, a flagship project of Governor Seyi Makinde, as world-class and well-suited to host the convention.

Odidiomo expressed the committee’s satisfaction with the venue, noting that it would comfortably accommodate the delegates.

He assured that the committee would put in place comprehensive security measures to ensure the area’s safety and accommodate the delegates.

He said: “We thank Governor Seyi Makinde, our party leader in the Southwest and national leader of the PDP, for this opportunity to serve and deliver a successful convention. We also appreciate the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal, for his leadership in this endeavor. Our purpose today is to conduct a preliminary inspection of the stadium, given our committee’s size of nearly 220 members.

“Although work hasn’t started, we wanted to assess the venue ahead of the full committee’s arrival. The Governor has tasked us with making this convention the biggest show and delivering our party to Nigeria. With over three weeks to go, we’re optimistic about meeting the deadline. We’ve reviewed the seating arrangement, accreditation process, and medical bay setup, and we’re working to meet all requirements.”
