There’s Ability in Disability: Timothy Olufemi’s Uplifting Message at Moniya Rehab Center

The Executive Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Disabilities, Hon. Olufemi Timothy, on Tuesday, visited the rehabilitation centre in Moniya, bringing joy to people with disabilities.

Accompanied by SA on Public Affairs, Oyedeji Ahmed, SA on Urban and Lands, Hon. Lanre Dairo, and other dignitaries, Timothy emphasized that there’s ability in disabilities.

He added that the less privileged deserve to be celebrated and supported at all times.

During the visit, Timothy and his team engaged in a ceremony that included a ram killing and cooking, which brought smiles to the faces of the people with disabilities.

The event also featured a powerful prayer session, where participants prayed for Governor Seyi Makinde, his wife, Mrs Tamunominini Makinde, and other government functionaries, expressing gratitude for their kindness towards people with disabilities.

Timothy said: “Even before my appointment, I have been coming here. This is my community, and I’ll never forsake anyone. I’m grateful to Governor Makinde for my appointment and his thoughtfulness towards people with disabilities.

“I commend his inclusivity and the inclusion of people with disabilities in his administration. He’s truly a God-sent leader. May God continue to bless and guide His Excellency to deliver on his mandate.”

However, in their separate remarks, both the staff and people with disabilities at the center commended Governor Makinde for his inclusive government and called for continued support from the Oyo State government to improve the rehabilitation centre’s structure.

They expressed appreciation for Timothy’s visit, praying that God would continue to uplift him and others who have shown kindness towards them.

This visit demonstrates the Makinde administration’s commitment to supporting people with disabilities and promoting inclusivity.

Also at the event included Comrade Lawal Aderemi Toheeb, Ambassador Segun Oyedeji, the school Principal, and host of others.
