Oke LEGACY Pledges N10m to Ogbomoso Education Trust Fund

Hon. John Adisa Oke, also known as LEGACY, has pledged N10 million to the Ogbomoso Education Trust Fund, reaffirming his commitment to advancing education in Ogbomosoland.

As the Chairman of Best Legacy College of Education and Best Legacy Group of Schools, Oke LEGACY has consistently prioritized education, with over 30 years of experience in establishing and supporting educational institutions.

Through the Oke-LEGACY Foundation, he has provided annual scholarships to over 1,000 indigent students across Ogbomosoland and beyond, with many successfully graduating from Best Legacy College of Education (BELCOED) and other higher institutions.

This latest pledge underscores his dedication to empowering the next generation and promoting educational excellence in the region.

Disclosing this on Wednesday, Hon. Oke said, “For me, Education as the Best Legacy is not just a slogan but a way of life that must shape the next generation of Ogbomoso youth.

“Yesterday marked a watershed in our history with the maiden edition of the Ogbomoso Education Summit — a visionary initiative of our revered King, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III.

“It was a landmark moment that reinforced the collective resolve to reposition education as the pride of Ogbomoso and a tool for sustainable development.

“As part of my commitment to this noble cause, I am pledging the sum of N10 million towards the newly instituted Ogbomoso Education Trust Fund. This is my contribution to securing the future of our children and strengthening the educational foundation of our dear land.

“I commend the foresight of our King and assure the Trust Fund Committee of my continuous support to ensure the overall success of this transformative initiative.”
