“I’m Very Effective in the House of Assembly” – Hon. Bisi Oluranti Breaks Silence, Reels Out Achievements

The Oyo State House of Assembly member representing Ogbomoso North State Constituency, Hon. Bisi Oluranti Micheal, has responded to allegations of ineffective representation made by Mrs. Oluwakemi Alabi Oloriagba, member of Oyo state Pacesetter Transport (PTS) and the Convener of Oyo Women Rise

Oluranti emphasized that she is very effective in the House of Assembly, with active participation that is second to none.

In a statement on Sunday, Oluranti attributed Oloriagba’s criticism to a hidden agenda, suggesting that she is deliberately trying to undermine her achievements.

She highlighted her constituency projects, including ongoing boreholes and hall projects, which will be commissioned soon. She also mentioned empowerment initiatives and other projects that have benefited her constituents.

The lawmaker challenged Oloriagba to compare her projects with those of her contemporaries in the House of Assembly. She emphasized that attending social events, wishing people happy birthday, or blogging stories do not define a lawmaker’s effectiveness.

She also pointed out that national leaders, including the President, Governors, Senators, and House of Representatives members, also attend important functions and travel.

Oluranti wondered why women would criticize each other, asking, “Why is it that women are the enemies of women?”

She explained that her visit to her family during an emergency was necessary, emphasizing the importance of balancing politics and family affairs.

Her words: “I don’t have any problem with Mrs Kemi Oloriagba, we are very close. And I respect her so much. I wonder why she will be criticizing me for an unnecessary things.

“I traveled after the oversight, we went on recess on August 13, after that, we commenced a recess of two weeks, and I travelled August 28 after the ticket has been purchased.

“I have been in Nigeria for over 7months, and to check my family for one month, is it a crime? There are some people who have been in abroad since they were given appointment but it’s only Bisi Oluranti that is being dragged by Oloriagaba. God will judge.

“Kindly check all motions have moved and my constituency projects, as well as the ongoing ones. I based in America before I contested. So, I only went there for one month to check on them”.

She however called on Oloriagba and others to stop the politics of hatred and promote unity under Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership.
