VIDEO: Oluwo of Iwo Flaunts Canadian Passport, Hails Canada as the Best Country
The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, a first-class paramount traditional ruler in Osun State and the 16th Oluwo of Iwo, was captured on video displaying his Canadian passport while praising Canada as the best country in the world.
In the trending clip, he explained that his Canadian passport would be expiring next year, but he deemed it fit to come and renew it. According to him, the process was stress-free, and he got it renewed within 24 hours. He said, “Passport renewal of the best country in the world! Nigeria is going to be best too but right now believe me, Canada is the best of the best country in the world, I love Canada, I love here.”
The video has sparked mixed reactions online. While some criticized him, saying that as a first-class traditional ruler within Yoruba hierarchies he should not have made such a video, others believe he only spoke the obvious truth and that there is nothing wrong with his statement.
