Report On The Just Concluded LAUTECH Alumni Global Meeting In Oyo
The Oyo State Chapter of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Alumni Association, under the distinguished leadership of our State Chairman, Mr. Abiodun Adelekan (Sirius), successfully hosted the 2025 LAUTECH Alumni Global Meeting.
The event was a landmark gathering that brought together global leaders, chapter executives, stakeholders, and distinguished alumni across diverse fields. It provided a platform for networking, strategic deliberations, and community bonding in line with the vision of strengthening the global alumni body.
APPRECIATIONS
On behalf of the Oyo State Chapter, I wish to extend profound gratitude to the Global Executive Council of the Association ably led by Hon. Lekan Badmus, whose leadership, guidance, and support ensured the success of this meeting. Our appreciation also goes to all Chapters’ Chairmen for their solidarity and commitment to the unity of our great association.
We deeply acknowledge and appreciate our donors and supporters whose generous contributions made the event memorable. In particular:
Dr. Sunky – for the free medical check-ups and insightful health talk that added great value to the meeting.
Dr. Jide Babs – for hosting members to a befitting dinner, which fostered fellowship and camaraderie.
Asiwaju Onilede Solomon – for your invaluable presence and words of wisdom. Your solomonic knowledge, critical evaluation of issues, and exemplary leadership remain a source of inspiration. I pray to emulate your virtues as I grow in service.
Prof. Aworemi – my former Head of Department, Transport Management, and now the dynamic Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, as well as our respected “Mother Chapter” Chairman. Thank you for your unwavering support and presence.
Prof. Azeem Ige Ese-O, our diligent, versatile, and soft-spoken Global Secretary, we appreciate your tireless contributions and dedication to the growth of our Association.
CSP Barr. Arise – for your outstanding financial support and provision of security coverage that guaranteed the smooth running of the entire programme.
Mr. Akeem Kareem – for your active participation, guidance, and consistent support to the Alumni body.
KK Oloso – for your inspiring contributions and steadfast commitment to the progress of the Association.
Mrs. Funmi Alli – for your impactful presence, motherly role, and encouragement, which added warmth to the entire programme.
Mrs. Makinde, our esteemed Global Auditor and Deputy Registrar of LAUTECH – for your remarkable contributions, administrative insight, and unwavering support which gave this event a touch of excellence.
LOCAL ORGANISING COMMITTEE (LOC)
Special commendation goes to the Local Organising Committee (LOC) ably chaired by Comrade Awosika, with Alhaji Ibrahim Taiwo as Co-Chairman and Chairman of the Fundraising Committee. Your sacrifices, commitment, and hard work remain the backbone of this successful event. Indeed, you all delivered a yeoman’s job worthy of commendation.
CONCLUSION
The Oyo State Chapter expresses its deepest gratitude to every individual and group that contributed to the success of this historic Global Meeting. It is a testament to what can be achieved when dedicated alumni come together in unity of purpose.
