PHOTOS: Excitement As Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin Commissions Seven Boreholes, Other Community Projects in Ogbomoso South
In fulfillment of his electoral promises, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, representing Ogbomoso South State Constituency, commissioned seven boreholes and other community projects across various wards in his constituency on Friday.
These initiatives aim to provide access to clean water, enhance sanitation, promote a cleaner environment, and reduce disease risks, ultimately and positively impacting residents’ lives by addressing their basic needs and demonstrating a commitment to their welfare.
At Ilogbo Ward, the commissioning of a newly constructed borehole drew commendations from residents, including Oba Mukaila Adisa Oyedeji Alabede, who expressed deep gratitude to Hon. Adedoyin for the gesture.
While in Arowomole Ward, specifically at Arada market, a standard public toilet and borehole were commissioned, attracting a large turnout of market women who praised the initiative before it was handed over to Oba Olajide Bolarinwa Onisapa, the community leader.
Meanwhile, Ibapon Ward, the largest in the local government, benefited from four boreholes at different locations: Mikky Area, Ajegunle Area, Sawmill Adeleke Oja Jango, and Oke Ola Farm settlement Owolake.
Additionally, at Alapata Ward’s Naira motel area, another borehole was commissioned, fulfilling campaign promises and highlighting Hon. Adedoyin’s commitment to grassroots development and improving the quality of life for his constituents.
MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that the commissioning of the seven boreholes will provide access to clean water, addressing a fundamental need and enhancing the health and well-being of residents.
Additionally, the public toilet will improve sanitation, promote a cleaner environment, and reduce disease risks, underscoring Hon. Adedoyin’s commitment to fulfilling his electoral promises and fostering trust in his leadership.
Speaking at the events, a PDP chieftain in Ogbomoso South LGA, Hon. Taiwo Alagbe, described the initiative as evidence that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is a promise-keeping party, assuring the communities that more development projects are underway.
Whilst the former Chairman of the Council, Hon. Felix Akande reminded the beneficiaries that water is life, and urged the constituents to manage the facilities responsibly to ensure durability.
On his part, the Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso South Local Government, Hon. Oyeniyi Oyedokun Timothy, however applauded Hon. Adedoyin for the huge project, urging the beneficiaries to manage the facilities responsibly.
The Onisapa equally commended the lawmaker for bringing dividends of democracy to his constituents, while appealing for the rehabilitation of the Aarada market road.
Adedoyin, who is the majority leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, however reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development, emphasizing that his office remains open to community needs while promising continuity in the delivery of people-oriented projects.
He urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the facilities, adding that the development is just a tips of an iceberg.
