Rep Smato congratulates Gov. Makinde on new title, praises his dedication to public service
Hon. Makanjuola Smato, a lawmaker representing Ogooluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde on his conferment of the traditional title of Aare Omoluabi of Akure Kingdom by the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi.
Smato described the recognition as a fitting tribute to Governor Makinde’s dedication to public service and his impact on the lives of Oyo State residents.
He praised the Governor’s commitment to the welfare of his people, evident in his administration’s initiatives and programs aimed at improving the lives of Oyo State residents.
The lawmaker equally commended the Deji of Akure and the Akure Kingdom for bestowing this esteemed title on Governor Makinde, noting that it reflects his stature as a respected leader in the region.
He further noted that the honour bestowed by the traditional institution of Akure Land underscores Governor Makinde’s role as a unifier, as well as his wife’s steadfast support in promoting inclusive development and community welfare.
Smato expressed confidence that the chieftaincy title will inspire Governor Makinde to continue leading Oyo State with wisdom and integrity.
He prayed for the Governor’s continued success, sound health, and divine favour as they carry their new traditional titles with honour and dignity.
