Oyo Gov decorated as Grand Patron of Pharmaceutical society
The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has been honored as the Grand Patron of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Oyo State Branch.
The decoration ceremony took place during the 2025 PSN Oyo State Scientific Week and the launch of the Pharmacy House Secretariat Complex at Mauve 21 Event Hall in Ibadan.
The recognition is a testament to Governor Makinde’s unwavering support for the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors in Oyo State.
In his remarks, Pharm. (Col.) Victor Segun Ajanaku (rtd), Chairman of PSN Oyo State, commended the governor’s progressive healthcare policies and reforms, which have promoted healthcare infrastructure and access to quality medicine.
The Deputy Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, who represented Governor Makinde, equally received a Distinguished Award for his role in supporting the state’s healthcare vision.
Additionally, the Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Asiwaju Akeem Olatunji, was conferred with a Distinguished Award for his contributions to pharmaceutical growth and advocacy at the grassroots.
The event featured professional development sessions, exhibitions, and the unveiling of the Pharmacy House Secretariat Complex, which will serve as a hub for pharmaceutical excellence and innovation in Oyo State.
