Oyo Deputy Gov Visits Igboho After Rainstorm Devastation
..As SEMA Conduct Damage Assessment*
Oyo State Deputy Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, on Thursday, visited Igboho to express sympathy to victims of the recent rainstorm that wreaked havoc in the community.
The Deputy Governor met with the Alepata of Igboholand, Oba (Dr) Joel Olalere Olawuwo, and the Onigboho of Igboho Kingdom, HRM Oba John Oyetola Bolarinwa Olubiyi II Ajagungbade I.
During the visit, Barr. Lawal charged the Oyo State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to assess the level of damages, enabling the government to provide necessary assistance to the victims.

He expressed gratitude that no fatalities were recorded, but noted that the rainstorm left significant destruction, affecting electrical installations and roofing of several houses.
The Deputy Governor however admonished the youth to remain united and avoid fanning the embers of disunity, warning that anyone found culpable would be dealt with by the government.

He also called on other local government chairmen in the Oke-ogun zone to offer collective support in addressing the challenges caused by the rainstorm.
The Deputy Governor, who equally inspected the ongoing Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho road project, assured that the government would continue to prioritize the development of the Oke-Ogun zone.
