Fashion Designer’s Head Cut Off In Ritual Killing 

A fashion designer, Lawrence Edobor, has been beheaded in Edo State in suspected ritual killing.

Edobor, a tailor, had a shop at Eweka in Evbuotubu.

Report said the 43-year-old was killed with his head severed from his body on Friday at around 2.00am.

He was said to be returning home from a burial on Thursday evening when his murder occurred.

A suspected ritual killing, it was gathered that one of the perpetrators, Uwadiae Airebiuwa, a 27-year-old, was caught red-handed with their victim’s head in his possession.

“On 07/03/2025 at approximately 03:00hrs, operatives of Evbuotubu Division alongside vigilante members, while on patrol of the area, intercepted and arrested one Uwadiae Airebiuwa, 27years, of Igbinudu Street, Evbuotubu Quarters, in possession of a fresh human head contained in a polythene bag.

“Upon interrogation, the suspect took them to a decapitated body of a man along the road near Eweka Shopping Plaza.

“The deceased, later identified by a family member as Edobor Lawrence, of 1 Osagie Street, Evbuotubu Quarters, was evacuated to the hospital for preservation while investigation continues,” Edo State Police Command spokesperson, Moses Yamu, said in a statement he released.
