PHOTOS: Oyo Deputy Gov presents prizes to Glo winners In Ibadan

Globacom on Monday ended its customer-reward promo, with the presentation of a new Kia Rio car, generating sets, and sewing machines to its subscribers at its headquarter in Ringroad, Ibadan, Oyo state. 

The event was graciously attended by the Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal. 

It equally featured popular Yoruba Nollywood actors and actress, including Odunlade Adekola; Bimbo Thomas, Toyin Abraham, and Tunde Usman, also known as Okele.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after presentation of prizes to winners, the Deputy Governor noted that Globacom has kept its promise to always appreciate its subscribers by giving out rewards.

He said that 25 years back when some outfit enjoy the monopoly of service rendering, Globacom came and crashed the prizes of SIM cards, handsets, and other accessories, stating that ever since then, the market is thrown opened and very competitive. 

The Deputy Governor added that every other service providers are trailed behind the leadership Globacom is rendering. 

He said: “Glo is an indigenous outfit. If they make 100 naira profit, you can be sure that N80 of the N100 will be used domestically here and it will impact  people. 

“What we have come to do this afternoon is a manifestation of a reality that subscribers, dealers;  must partake from the growth and development of Glo. My wish is for Glo to continue to prosper, to be the leader in the industry, so that others that are coming will have the leadership that is being provided for Glo to follow.”
