OYSROMA Chairman, Ogunlade congratulates Alaafin-elect, Oba Owoade, expresses confidence in his capacity

The Chairman of Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA), Hon. Busoye Ogunlade, has congratulated the Alaafin-elect, Prince Abimbola Owoade, on his appointment as the new Alaafin of Oyo.

In his congratulatory message on Saturday, the chairman expressed confidence in the capacity of the Alaafin-elect to build on the enduring legacy of his predecessors, particularly the immediate past Alaafin, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.

He noted that his ascension to the revered throne of his ancestors is not just a celebration of tradition but also a monumental milestone in the continued progress and prosperity of Oyo town and its people.

According to Ogunlade, the Alaafin of Oyo has always been a symbol of strength, wisdom, and unity.

He said: “The installation of a new king signals a fresh era of leadership rooted in our rich cultural heritage, yet forward-looking in vision. Under the guidance of the new Alaafin, Oyo town stands poised for remarkable growth in culture, commerce, education, and governance.

“This new leadership will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in fostering peace and unity among our people, attracting opportunities for economic development, and preserving the timeless values that define us as proud descendants of the Oyo Empire. The Alaafin’s influence will serve as a bridge, uniting both the old and new generations while paving the way for a progressive and inclusive future.

“To the industrious and resilient people of Oyo town, this is a moment of hope and renewal. As we rally behind our new Alaafin, let us remain steadfast in our collective efforts to build a greater Oyo, a town that thrives in harmony and development.

“I also want to express my deepest gratitude to His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, for his unwavering commitment and support in making this remarkable feat a reality. Your dedication to preserving the cultural fabric of our state and ensuring this smooth transition is truly commendable.

“May the reign of the new Alaafin bring peace, progress, and abundant blessings to Oyo town, Oyo State, and indeed the entire Yoruba land. Long live the Alaafin of Oyo! Long live Oyo town.”
