You are not an accidental Governor— Ex-Commissioner, Afonja salutes Makinde at 57

Oyo Former Commissioner for Works and Transport, Professor Abdul-Rahmon Rapheal Afonja, also known as PARA, has felicitated with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on the occasion of his 57th birthday anniversary.

Afonja, in his congratulatory birthday message on Wednesday, described Governor Makinde as a man of integrity, a humble and uncompromising Nigerian who has continued to give his best in service to the people of Oyo state.

He lauded the Governor for providing purposeful and impactful leadership both at the state and the party levels, stressing that his roles in the ongoing repositioning agenda of the PDP cannot be overemphasized.

Afonja, who equally noted that Makinde is not an accidental Governor, said the Governor has a master plan to offer effective administration.

He added that the great transformation currently being witnessed at the State and party has clearly shown that the Nigeria vice chairman of Governor’s forum is prepared for the herculean task to govern a state like Oyo state with 33 local governments.

According to Afonja, in addition to civil servants and retirees, students and all citizens are benefiting from Governor Seyi Makinde’s excellent leadership due to his infrastructure development and people-friendly policy approach, which has improved the lives of the good people of Oyo State, especially during this economic hardship.
