Smato fetes Makinde on 57th birthday, lauds his leadership prowess

The lawmaker representing Ogooluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency, Hon. Makanjuola Smato has felicitated Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.

Smato, who is the chairman of the House Committee on Friendship Group to Pakistan, and deputy chairman of the House Committee on Solid Minerals, described Makinde as a transformative leader whose visionary leadership has transformed Oyo state in the last six years.

In his congratulatory message on Wednesday, the lawmaker equally described the governor as a blessing and the best gift to the pacesetter state, praising his outstanding leadership and numerous achievements.

He noted that Governor Makinde’s selfless service to the people of Oyo State is a testament to his character and dedication to the well-being of the state.

According to Smato, His Excellency, Governor Makinde is not just a leader but a role model whose dedication to inclusive development has continued to inspire us all.

He said: “Hearty congratulations to our amiable Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, on his 57th birthday anniversary. This is another opportunity to honour your goodness, Your Excellency. You are the best thing that has ever happened to Oyo State. Our beloved state has greatly benefited from your unselfish service, outstanding leadership, and steadfast dedication to the welfare of our people. I pray that God will continue to grant you wisdom, health, and the fortitude to continue serving our state as you commemorate this great day. Amen.”

However, the lawmaker praised the governor’s efforts to improve the state’s healthcare, education, and infrastructure, as well as advancing the welfare of the state and its people.
